Most of my work is with charities, non-profits and other mission-driven organizations, and I especially enjoy working alongside their boards. We're likely a good fit if:
I also work with owners who want to understand their financial information and communicate more clearly with their bookkeeper and accountant. This can be especially helpful if:
I'm a Chartered Professional Accountant who lives in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent more than fifteen years working in accounting, business and finance. Most of that time was in public practice, where I spent twelve years working with business owners and organizations of every kind, and the last six of those as a partner in the firm.
When I sold my practice at the end of 2021, it gave me the chance to step back and think about the work I wanted to do next. The answer that came to me was that I wanted to work more closely with organizations whose purpose is to improve their communities and the world around them.
My work has also taken me into the boardroom as a treasurer, finance director and investment committee member, into leadership as Executive Director of a housing society, and into my community through parks and recreation programs and local tax and budgeting courses.
That experience shapes how I work. I try to make finance feel less intimidating, give boards and leaders information they can use, and leave every organization a little stronger than I found it.
Tell me a little about your organization and what's on your mind. I'll be in touch to set up a time to connect.
